Check product identification and appearance

• Product identification: The rated voltage, voltage range, rated power, rated frequency, brand trademark and related certification marks should be clearly marked on the outer packaging of LED lamps. The trademark printing quality of high-quality products is good, the font is clear, and it is not easy to fall off. Even if it is wiped with a soft wet cloth, the trademark is still clearly identifiable. The trademark printing quality of counterfeit and inferior products is often poor, the font is blurred, and it is even easy to be wiped off with a wet cloth.
• Appearance inspection: The outer shell of the LED lamp should be flat and smooth, without defects, cracks and looseness. At the same time, observe whether the interface has been pried, and the original LED lamp should not be loose or tilted during installation and removal. In addition, check whether the LED lamp uses a plastic shell made of flame-retardant material. The outer shell of high-quality products is rough, similar to frosted glass, while inferior products may be made of ordinary plastic, with a smooth and bright surface, easy to deform and flammable.

Luminous effect and color

• Luminous effect: After lighting the LED lamp, observe whether its light is uniform and whether there are obvious dark areas or light spots. Good LED lights emit light evenly, with pure colors and no color cast.
• Color consistency: Put multiple LED lights together for comparison to see if their colors are consistent. High-quality products have better color consistency, while inferior products may have color differences.

Heat dissipation performance and temperature

• Heat dissipation performance: LED lights will generate a certain amount of heat when working, and good heat dissipation performance is the key to ensuring their long-term stable operation. You can gently touch the radiator part of the LED light with your hand to feel its temperature change. If the temperature is too high or the heat dissipation is uneven, it means that the heat dissipation performance of the LED light is poor, which may affect its service life.
• Working temperature: Under normal working conditions, the temperature rise of the LED light should be very low. If the LED light is obviously hot during work, or even hot, then there may be problems with its quality.

Electrical performance and safety

• Electrical performance: Using test tools such as multimeters, you can detect whether the voltage, current, power and other parameters of the LED light meet the nominal values ​​on the product logo. At the same time, you can also test the insulation resistance and withstand voltage performance of the LED light to ensure its electrical safety.
• Electromagnetic compatibility: In my country, electromagnetic compatibility is an important indicator for evaluating whether electrical products are qualified. When purchasing, you can check whether there is a relevant test qualification mark on the outer packaging of the LED lamp. In addition, you can also bring a medium- and short-wave radio. When the lamp is working, place the radio nearby (where there is no medium- and short-wave radio station). The lower the noise, the better the electromagnetic compatibility of the lamp under test.

Drive circuit and light source chip

• Drive circuit: Try to adjust the voltage or current to observe whether the brightness of the LED lamp changes smoothly to determine the stability of its drive circuit. A good drive circuit can provide stable current and voltage output, so that the LED lamp maintains a stable luminous effect when working.
• Light source chip: The quality of LED lamp beads is also one of the key factors in judging the quality of LED lamps. You can visually check the appearance of the LED lamp beads, such as whether there are traces of burning or blackening of the internal chip, to determine whether its performance is damaged. At the same time, you can also use tools such as batteries, multimeters or LED test pens to detect the working status of LED lamp beads.
